Tredegar House Folk Festival

VISITING INTERNATIONAL DANCE SIDES POLICY

Page last updated: 19/04/06

We do not pay fees to International dance sides to dance at our festival. We will normally pay for your coach travel within the UK, between airport and the festival site or make a contribution to your travel costs. We are non-profit making and welcome enquiries from any dancers who, like us, wish to celebrate their art in the company of others.

We regularly stage over 300 dancers from more than 25 dance sides, which makes our event the largest of its kind in Wales.

Entrance to both ceilidhs, the Folk Club Night and workshops (but NOT the concerts) is free to all performers. International sides usually come over as part of a reciprocal arrangement with one of our local sides (who would then make a return visit to the guests' country).

Members of International sides are normally accommodated in the homes of their host side or other festival supporters. If you would like to be considered please contact us. We would be interested in your location, the style and background of your dances, information regarding costume, musicians and instruments etc.. International sides should be in a position to offer a return visit to a local side on the same terms as listed above.

Should you appear at the festival we will need details of your sound requirements. See also the notes below on our recorded music policy and our ticketing policy
